What Salasya Did Immediately After Being Beaten By an Angry Crowd

Trouble has engulfed the current Member of Parliament for Mumias East, Hon. Peter Salasya, after a disagreement erupted between him and the sugarcane farmers.

The youth engaged in a serious encounter with irate farmers who were totally against his support for the Sarrai Sugar Industry Investor.

According to a video shared on several social media outlets from Kakamega County this morning, Salasya is heard on the VIP podium supporting the current sugar industry investment by Sarrai Group.

The irate crowd is then captured shouting against Salasya’s remarks, whereby they support the Kakamega County Government initiative of finding a new investor. The crowd is then heard rebranding the Sarrai group as cartels with ill intentions of stealing from farmers.

In the video clip, several people are captured moving forward to the podium, where they snatch Salasya’s microphone before throwing kicks and blows at him. The hopeless, injured MP is then helped by his bodyguard out of the podium. The mob can also be seen throwing stones and other blunt objects at him.

“We don’t want petty politics here. What you want is a county government initiative, not your cartel. Sarrai is a thief. Go or you die now,” an irate crowd is heard shouting at Peter Salasya. Below is the video link:
