MP Salasya Teargassed As Protests Intensify

Police officers have lobbed Teargas to protesters in mumias area. Amongst those who were Teargassed were member of arlianent, Peter Salasya.

Police Lob Teargas to Disperse Protestors
Mumias East MP Peter Salasya was among protesters who had camped out at the Mumias Sugar Company decrying the poor management.

Speaking through his social media platforms, Peter noted: “West Kenya Rai and Fernandes barasa lives in oblivion on matters Mumias Sugar Company. Your ill plans concerning the giant Miller’s revival will not succeed.”

Police officers were forced to lob teargas at the protesters to disperse them.

The MP called upon the government to resolve the issues and revive the glory of the sugar factory.

According to the residents, there were some artificial wrangles caused by several politicians.
