Peter Salasya Defies Raila’s Order

Democratic Action party member of Parliament Peter Salasya, has declared that he will not honour former prime minister Raila Odinga’s order asking him to put aside his differences with Kakamega County governor Fernades Barasa.

Speaking on Saturday, the Mumias constituency member of Parliament declared that he is not ready to have any handshake with governor Barasa, instead, he vowed to compete against him in 2027.

The youthful member of Parliament who is serving his first time having been elected in 2022, declared that he is ready to face off with Barasa whether he will lose or win.

The declaration follows an incident in which his car was damaged by youths who he alleged were sent by the governor. Salasya claimed that the governor has forgotten the role he played in his 2022 campaigns claiming that he is the reason the governor won. He however declared that he is ready to send him home in 2022.
