End of Bipartisan Talks as Kenya Kwanza Leaders Issues Conditions

Despite agreeing to discuss on matters of electoral reforms, the ongoing bipartisan talks between Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Coalition and Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza government failed to happen yesterday due to various reasons.

As relayed by a report covered on Tuesday’s People Daily publication, an insider who didn’t want named revealed they received tough instructions from Kenya Kwanza’s leaders against discussing about 2022 elections audit

According to the report, technical team drawn from Kenya Kwanza seems to be getting instructions from a top government officials who has allegedly informed them to back reconstitution and delimitation of boundary.

” Kenya Kwanza’s technical team seems to be getting instructions from somewhere that they can only talk about restructuring of IEBC and delimitation of boundary “, the source claimed.

This comes a day after deputy president Rigathi Gachagua openly differed with President William Ruto about allowing audit of last year’s august presidential election to take place.

Speaking in Meru, the second in command claimed that the constitution doesn’t allow anyone to audit elections saying president William Ruto’s victory was affirmed by the supreme court.

It should be noted that Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Coalition’s leaders led by former prime minister Raila Odinga have threatened to resume mass action demonstrations should talks fail.
