Raila Wins Big After First Talks With Kenya Kwanza Team

Despite setting official talks to take place on Monday, it’s reported that both Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Coalition and Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza government have already agreed on one raised issue.

As relayed by a report covered on Thursday’s standard publication, the teams have reportedly agreed on the reconstitution of electoral commission, a process that is already underway.

According to the report, the teams are aware of inexistance of IEBC commission following the expiry of wafula Chebukati’s tenure alongside other commissioners at the commission.

And as a result, it is evident that both camps are to take part in selecting the new electoral commission ahead of next general elections.

It should be noted that IEBC reforms was an issue raised by both Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Coalition and Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza dialogue committee.

Others from Azimio la Umoja include inclusivity in the national affairs, respecting democracy and non interference with it’s affiliated parties.

On the other side, Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza team is seeking to embed the office of the official opposition leader and that of prime cabinet secretary in the constitution as well as structure out CDF.
