Reason Revealed on Why Policewoman Shot Her Husband 12 Times

A female police officer took her husband’s life during a domestic dispute that escalated on a Saturday night.

The couple, known for their frequent disagreements, found themselves in yet another intense quarrel.

According to eyewitnesses, after returning home from her shift at the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) offices, the woman and her husband engaged in a heated argument that eventually turned violent.

The dispute took a terrifying turn when gunshots resounded through the neighborhood, prompting residents to seek safety. Some neighbors reported that the couple’s disagreement had become physical before the gunshots erupted.

This tragic event unfolded in front of the couple’s four children, who, in their panic, cried out for help as they fled their home.

Benjamin Mwanthi, the Uasin Gishu County Police Commander, confirmed the incident and disclosed that it is currently under comprehensive investigation.

The female officer responsible for the fatal shooting has been apprehended and is scheduled to face legal proceedings on Monday.

The alleged assailant unleashed a barrage of over 12 bullets upon her husband, leaving him critically wounded, before hastily departing the scene. Shortly thereafter, she voluntarily surrendered herself at the Eldoret police station, resulting in her immediate arrest.
