POLICE OFFICERS FORCED TO FIRE GUNS AFTER THIS HAPPENED.

Siaya governor James Orengo and his deputy William Oduol supporters clashed in Siaya on Saturday, May 13.

The chaos led to immediate response of police officers on scene. Law enforcement officers were forced to shoot in the air and use teargas canisters to disperse the violent crowd.

According to reliable reports the chaos was caused by the ongoing disagreement between the governor and his deputy.

The encounter between Orengo and his deputy occurred at a funeral service for an official from the Siaya County Assembly. Prior to the meeting, the governor and deputy had been at odds over the management of the county.

As a result of their disagreement, three activists filed a case at the Milimani High Court in Nairobi seeking legal intervention. In their petition, the activists accused Governor Orengo of undermining Oduol’s efforts.

It remains unknown at this time whether any of their supporters’ sustained injuries during the incident. Additionally, the cause of the disagreement has yet to be revealed.
