SIAYA GOVERNOR IMPEACHED.

Siaya County Assembly on Monday, May 29, voted to impeach Deputy Governor William Oduol after a brief debate of the motion.

The impeachment motion was tabled as the first business of the Assembly, and was immediately voted upon by all Members of the County Assembly.

A total of 38 MCAs endorsed Oduol’s impeachment while none others either abstained or voted against the motion that may see Siaya Deputy Governor becomes the first deputy governor to be impeached after August 2022 General Election.

The MCAs who voted in favour of the impeachment motion accused Oduol of working in cohort with President William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza coalition.
