Senior Govt Official Resigns

The first senior ranking officer in President William Ruto’s administration to resign is Kibisu Kabatesi, who served as the government’s communications advisor to Prime Minister Musalia Mudavadi.

Kabatesi explained his personal reasons for quitting the job and thanked his boss, Mudavadi, for giving him the opportunity to work and work under him.

In the statement made by , it was said, “I would like to thank our President for giving me the opportunity to work in the above positions.”  Kabatesi’s resignation is effective as of November 1, 2023.  

Additionally, the Secretary stated that he was acting with an open mind and requested that PCS pay all its debts and expenses.

“I do this with humility and hope that my skills will be put to good use in my next work for our great country.”  He added.

He left a few months after being appointed to his new position in March.  

Its mission is to monitor government policy, policy, and promotional communications while monitoring and controlling communications between government departments, states, and agencies. 

Kabatesi is also responsible for improving MDA’s effective communication by developing training, monitoring and evaluation processes for effective communication in government.  

Mudavadi’s long-time aide is also his communications director, private secretary and advisor.
