MUSALIA MUDAVADI LOSES HIS ANC PARTY

Amani National Congress Party Leader Musalia Mudavadi might soon lose his party leadership through resignation as the Registrar of Political Parties Boss Ms. Ane Nderitu issues fresh details.

In a report via the Nation it has been established that should President William Ruto honor the agreement they made with Musalia Mudavadi during the formation of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance on rewarding him with the Chief Cabinet Minister post, then, he will have to resign from the position he holds in the Amani National Congress Party as per the law.

Registrar of Political Parties Boss Ms. Ann Nderitu has said that however despite the law demanding the resignation of Mr. Mudavadi, he will continue being a member of the ANC but not as a party leader.

“Once you become a State officer, you have to resign as a party official. You can, however, remain a party member. You cannot serve as a State officer and at the same time hold a party position,” said Ms. Nderitu.

Former National Assembly Speaker Hon Justin Muturi has also said that the law must be followed to the letter and that even if he should be appointed for a cabinet position by President William Ruto, then, he will be resigning too.

“The party officials who will be picked for State jobs will have to relinquish their positions as there was no other way around,” Justin Muturi has said as quoted in the Nation.
