Identity of Two Wells Fargo Drivers Who Stole Sh94 Million

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has finally unveiled the identities of two Wells Cargo employees suspected of a staggering KSh 94 million theft from quickmart.

The announcement comes at a time when the detectives are on hot pursuit of the duo after the incident which occurred early Monday.

In an official statement posted on their Twitter handle, the DCI identified the individuals as Daniel Mungai Mugetha, the crew commander, and Anthony Nduiki Waigumo, the driver.

The report suggests that the pair secretly run off with truck number KBA 517T from the company’s Nairobi premises, soon after the money box had been loaded.

Astonishingly, they left the police escort car behind, which was waiting for official authorization to accompany them.

The escort team, unaware that the truck had departed, visited the management to inquire about the delay in loading. By the time they realized what had occurred, Mugetha and Waigumo had vanished without a trace.

The DCI confirmed that a specialized team has been dispatched to apprehend the suspects and recover the stolen funds. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities actively pursuing all leads.
