Karua Supports Raila Endorsing Kalonzo

Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua now says that she sees nothing wrong with Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party leader Raila Odinga endorsing Wiper’s Kalonzo Musyoka ahead of the 2027 polls.

When President William Ruto recently visited the Nyanza region, he said that he was looking forward to facing Kalonzo in 2027.

But speaking to TV 47 on the evening of Monday, October 23, Karua said that Raila had already clarified that such a conversation was not there.

“But let us first assume that he (Raila) indeed endorsed my brother Kalonzo. There would be nothing wrong with it because he is entitled to endorse whoever he chooses. But that doesn’t lock the doors for anyone else. The power is with the people,” Karua said.

She insisted that she sees absolutely nothing wrong, even if Kenyans were to assume that the endorsement happened.

“We are not together in Azimio on the basis that we tether the ambitions of any of us, and the ambitious ones are not the only ones you see. There are many others behind us in the country, and everyone’s dream is valid. Therefore, it is not a point of contention; so long as Azimio moves forward, is focused, and is democratic, then even if it has 100 presidential candidates, it will be able to sort it out,” Karua explained.
