Speculations on Matiangi Moving to New York

Abuga Makori has said that former powerful Interior Minister Fred Matiang’i has moved to New York City, US, a close family friend has confirmed to me.

Matiang’i, the source said, left Kenya about two months ago and has since taken advisory roles with the United Nations.

More to that, Abuga Makori has said, Dr. Matiang’i was one of most powerful state officers during the administration of President Uhuru Kenyatta, and served as the chair of cabinet sub-committees, after Ruto fell out with Uhuru.

In the run-up to the 2022 polls, he coordinated Raila Odinga’s campaigns.

Kenyans will take time (years) to get another reasonable CS like Matiang’i. The guy was a thinker, a genius in administration and policy implementation.

Dr.Matiangi’s performance exceeded expectations. He did his best. The funny thing is, Kenya is not ready to use his brilliant mind but rather they choose to go for people like @HonMoses_Kuria and co.
