Goodies Ruto is Set to Deliver to Nyanza People

President William Ruto is set to embark on a four-day development tour of the Nyanza region, commencing on Friday, October 6, 2023.

According to the latest update that has been issued by Hussein Mohamed, State House Spokesperson, this comprehensive tour aims to launch a series of projects in Kisumu, Homa Bay, Siaya, and Migori counties, with the goal of enhancing the quality of life for residents.

In Kisumu County, the President will initiate key initiatives, including the groundbreaking of the Kabonyo Regional Fisheries and Aquaculture Center of Excellence in the Nyando constituency.

Valued at 1 billion shillings, this project is poised to bolster food security, innovation, and employment in the Fisheries and Aquaculture sector.

The tour will also witness the commissioning of the Lake Basin Mall, a significant retail and entertainment hub, set to invigorate trade and growth in Kisumu City and its environs.

Additionally, the President will launch the MV Uhuru 2, a vessel designed to operate on Lake Victoria, a move that will enhance transportation, trade, and economic prosperity, positioning the Nyanza region as a central hub for maritime transport and logistics.

In Siaya County, President Ruto will oversee the upgrading of the 27km Bondo-Uyawi-Kibanga-Liunda Road to Bitumen standard.

He will also inaugurate a digital laboratory at Mutumbu Technical Training Institute and initiate the construction of a Level 4 hospital in Ugenya constituency, a significant stride towards enhancing healthcare infrastructure in the region.

The President will also spearhead transformative projects in Homa Bay County, including the construction of the 53 km Mfangano Island Ring Road and the upgrading of the 74km Mbita-Sindo-Kiabuya-Sori Road to Bitumen standard.

He will also inaugurate a digital laboratory at Mutumbu Technical Training Institute and initiate the construction of a Level 4 hospital in Ugenya constituency, a significant stride towards enhancing healthcare infrastructure in the region.

Furthermore, he will visit Victory Fish Farms in Sindo, a pivotal project for the growth of the aquaculture sector.

In Migori County, President Ruto will commission Uriri Hospital, reinforce healthcare infrastructure, and launch the Mabera affordable Housing project in the Kuria West constituency.

This multifaceted project addresses housing needs and fosters community development.

Throughout the tour, President Ruto will engage with local residents, meet with farmers, and interact with community leaders.

Additionally, he will preside over a cabinet meeting at the Kisumu State Lodge in Kisumu County.
