How Ruto Rewarded Chebukati Heavily After He Declared Him The Winner

Details have now emerged on how President William Ruto rewarded Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Chairman Wafula Chebukati and commissioners Abdi Guliye and Boya Molu after ruling the August presidential election in his favor.

In a statement by a local media on Twitter, Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition MPs led by Minority Leader Opiyo Wandayi, accused the commissioners of misusing funds on unnecessary foreign trips.

According to Wandayi, the trips that the trio have been making in and out of the country, had been given to them by President William Ruto as a reward to those who ensured that the presidential elections were ruled in Ruto’s favor.

“The outgoing commissioners have gone on a rampage by misusing public resources, which have been allocated to IEBC for its operations.

We have recorded multiple foreign trips on unspecified missions and engineered to benefit a select group in the commission,” said Wandayi.

The lawmaker further demanded a special audit on how the resources of the commission has benn used since according to him, millions of money have been lost.
