Wetangula Vows to Support Azimio Agendas in Parliament

Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetangula has spoken moments after having a closed door meeting with Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka who is leading the Azimio team in the National Dialogue Committee, Opiyo Wandayi.

“The Bi- Partisan team that is leading the ongoing dialogue between the government and opposition visited my office at Parliament Buildings today.” Wetangula wrote.

Others who were present for the meeting included Kimani Ichungwah leading the Kenya Kwanza side, manii Ichungwah, Okongo Omogeni, Jeremiah Kioni, EALA MP Hassan Omar among other.

“Former Vice- President H.E Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka and the Leader of Majority Hon. Kimani Ichungwah led the team in briefing me on progress of the talks so far.” He added.

Wetangula has revealed that the leaders re-affirmed their commitment to the talks successful so as to achieve the intended goal and him also in the same breath, assured them of Parliament’s support in delivery of the agenda of the talks.

The meeting came at a time when Azimio leader Raila Odinga called an urgent meeting with his team over the slow progress of the talks.
