Citizen TV Embarrasses Moses Kuria Badly on Live TV

Today Investment, Trade, and Industry Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria faced an embarrassing situation on Wednesday night when he made an unsupported assertion during a live TV broadcast. Within minutes, he was fact-checked for his statement which found him off guard.

CS Kuria was part of a Cabinet delegation participating in a collaborative Royal Media Services production known as ‘The Big Conversation.’ This program focused on assessing President William Ruto’s accomplishments and shortcomings during his first year in office.

When Kuria was asked about the prices of cooking oil, he boldly claimed that the prices had gone down drastically. Little did he know, the citizen TV went live from some local supermarket in Eldoret where they depicted a totally opposite situation to what CS Kuria was saying.

“I wish your figures were factual. You pride yourselves that your TV is the most watched in the country, so don’t forget that somebody is watching you from a supermarket, so be careful,” Sam Gituku said before going live from the supermarket.
