Kenyan Leaders Receives a Special Guest

Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, or JKIA, recently increased security. This was received following the arrival of the nation’s first female president. Hon Zewde of Ethiopia is this country’s first female leader.

According to the ministry of foreign affairs, in addition to other high government officials, hon Zewde was welcomed by the minister of foreign affairs, Dr. Alfred Mutua, and the women’s representative of Uasin Gishu county, hon Gladys Sholei.

Like other heads of state, Zewde was given a full military guard of honor upon landing by the Kenya Defence Forces, KDF, officers. She is scheduled to go to the Kenyatta International Convention Center, or KICC, for the climate change meeting.
