RAPHAEL TUJU EXPOSED AND HUMILIATED IN THE BASEMENT

Jubilee Party Secretary-General Raphael Tuju was on Wednesday, February 10, on the receiving end from members of county assembly (MCAs) drawn from Baringo county.

This was during a heated meeting held at the party headquarters that had initially been organised by Tuju.

In a viral video, Tenges MCA Sylas Tochim is seen taking a swipe at the secretary-general over his insistence on the party position matters and attempts to woo them to pass a motion on Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).

“You are here telling us about the party when did you sit and decide on the party position? Did you call the deputy party leader how about your deputy secretary-general? Whatever you are trying to us is untrue and a gimmick,” said Tochim.

The MCA also insisted that there was a plot to force the ward representatives into passing the motion despite their firm stand against it.

“What you just told us is that you are under influence and guidance from a force somewhere. We are aware that there are tides that want to make sure that Baringo county delivers BBI by all means at the assembly and that is the reason as to why you keep on insisting on the party position,” he added.

Tochim further advised Tuju to focus on his health and family while insisting that the political tides will negatively impact his personal life.

“We know you have spoken as a messenger but my honest advice is that you should focus on your family and your health,” he noted.

In a rejoinder, Tuju downplayed the accusations while insisting that what the MCA spoke about was his personal views.

“Whatever the MCA has said are his personal sentiments and I cannot take personal because I am a politician and I appreciate the way he talked. I do not harbor any anger and I am even looking forward to visiting your place when I come to Baringo,” he responded.

Earlier, Tuju had used the platform to inform the MCAs on the negative impacts of voting against the BBI motion.
