Ledama’s Health Condition That Forced Him to Travel to The US

Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina has travelled to the United States of America for medical attention.

The fiery Narok senator was a no-show at an Azimio Prayer event led by its party leader Raila Odinga.

While addressing the gathering, Raila Odinga said Ole Kina was receiving special treatment for what he termed as a ‘result of his beating at Bomas of Kenya’.

“I have brought greetings from your Senator Ledama Ole Kina who is receiving treatment in the USA. As you all know Ledama was beaten badly at the Bomas of Kenya where the Presidential election results were being announced.”

The outspoken lawmaker was among the leaders injured in the chaos that erupted at the national tallying centre just moments before the presidential results were announced.

Ledama and a group of leaders from the Azimio One Kenya coalition stormed the podium in an attempt to prevent the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chairperson, Wafula Chebukati, from declaring the results.

They claimed the vote was rigged in favour of Kenya Kwanza Alliance leader William Ruto.

The Azimio leaders clashed with their Kenya Kwanza Alliance counterparts, prompting police to intervene and arrest Chebukati and other IEBC officials.
