DRAMA AS POPULAR KENYAN SENATOR IS CAUGHT IN DUBAI DRESSED INAPPROPRIATELY

Drama was witnessed in the House of the Senate on Tuesday after Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina raised a point of order confronting Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja for not wearing a tie while making his contribution.

“Under a speaker’s rules a Senator should dress properly and when I look at him he is not wearing a tie and this is a very very serious matter,” Ledama said in a part of a statement.

While defending himself while speaking via a video link, the Nairobi Senator said he was in the hospital that’s why he was not wearing a tie. He added that he was still recuperating under the attention of media officers.

“Madam speaker my apologies, I seek your indulgence, the reason am not there is actually am recuperating and the facility am in I have not carried a tie” Sakaja defended himself.

Makueni Senator Hon Mutula Kilonzo also came to the rescue of Senator Sakaja saying he was with him in Dubai where he has been receiving treatment.

“Madam Speaker allow me to confirm that I was with Senator Sakaja in Dubai I left before him but he is unwell, if he says he is in hospital, i can confirm that he is in hospital,” Mutula said in defense of Sakaja.

However, the House proceedings continued after Senator Kajwang also came in defense of Sakaja. He told off Ole Kina telling him that he always comes to the house while wearing a Maasai Shuka hence it was unfair for him to criticize Sakaja.
