Musalia Mudavadi Speaks on Leaving His Office

The Prime CS Musalia Mudavadi has responded to a petition seeking his removal from office for holding an unconstitutional office.

He is clear that, the office of Prime CS is just a CS position with elevated responsibilities. He is clear that, the CS position is within the 22 CS positions that are in the constitution.

Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia is firm that, those who are asking his removal from office are not being genuine with themselves. He is firm that, the roles of the Prime CS are not above the stipulations in the constitution.

A lobby Group calling itself Operation Linda Jamii has been in court asking the court to declare the office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary unconstitutional. The lobby grojp that’s led by Fred Ogolla is clear that, president William Ruto has no powers to create a Prime CS office.

Kenyans are however waiting to see of how the court will rule on the matter of Prime CS positions. The fact of the matter is that, Mudavadi was not elected by anybody and therefore, he must not have an elevated role in the Cabinet above others.
