Big Trouble For Kenyan Govt

Latest reports reaching Challyhnews have revealed that they could be trouble for the government of Kenya after details emerged of the lawsuit filled against it for the recent actions against Azimio leaders.

The government of Kenya will have to defend themselves at the Kenyan courts after a group of Law Society of Kenya rights group sued the state for a law they termed as colonial.

According to the court records the rights group has taken the Kenyan government to court after they used the colonial law in section 77 of the penal code. According to the argument of the rights group the penal code which saw Azimio leaders such as Babu Owino get detained is outdated and was last used by our colonial masters as a silencing tool.

Besides the law society of Kenya Right groups, 4 other groups are also part of the lawsuit against the government; these include Kenya union of journalist, katiba institute amongst others.
