Ruto Pleads With Kenyans to Pray For Him

President William Ruto now wants Kenyans to help him keep his campaign promises and the promises he has been giving after getting to State House.

Ruto has given many promises, some of which were to be kept within a specific timeframe after he wins, with a number yet to be delivered on.

He now wants Kenyans to help him by praying for him, saying this will help his government to diligently work towards achieving its objectives.

“Please pray for us so that we can be faithful and we can keep to our commitments and we can keep focus and make sure that nobody steals the future of our country,” Ruto noted.

He made the remarks during a church service at the Faith Evangelistic Ministries (FEM) in Karen, Nairobi.

He stated that his government has made deliberate interventions to provide working opportunities for the youth starting with the Housing plan.

The Head of State added that unlike before when he had the plan but was not in a position to implement them, he is now able to work on his ambitions.

“I am happy that this time round we not only have a plan [but] we have clear interventions, money to do it and create jobs in the housing plan in the digital space, exporting labour,” he added.

But this is even as his critics question his leadership, with some pointing out that he has kept close to zero of his campaign promises.

Some have accused him of even launching former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s development projects to be seen as a worker when he is is not.

His opponents in the Azimio La Umoja coalition have also claimed that he has refused to keep his vow to lower living costs, and things are actually worsening.
