Full List of PSs Who Have Been Reshuffled

President William Ruto has executed a significant cabinet reshuffle, realigning eight Principal Secretaries across ministries to enhance governmental efficiency in pursuit of his electoral promises.

The move, announced through a statement to a local media house, reflects his commitment to delivering on key agendas.

Harsama Kello has been shifted from the State Department for Crop Development to the State Department for ASALs and Regional Development, demonstrating the administration’s focus on arid and semi-arid lands.

Additionally, Julius Korir now takes charge of the State Department for Water and Sanitation, having transitioned from Cabinet Affairs.

These changes underscore Ruto’s strategic approach to addressing critical issues and achieving his governance objectives.

Geoffrey Kaituko, who previously served in the State Department for Labour and Skills Development, has been transferred to the State Department for Shipping and Maritime Affairs.

Shardack Mwadime assumes the role of PS for the State Department for Labour and Skills Development, from the State Department for Shipping and Maritime Affairs.

Paul Ronoh, the Water PS, has been reassigned to the State Department for Crop Development, while Idris Salim Dokota moves from the State Department for The ASALs and Regional Development to the State Department for Cabinet Affairs.

Anne Wang’ombe, the PS for Performance Management and Delivery Services, has been transferred to the State Department for Gender and Affirmative Action.

Concurrently, Gender PS Veronica Nduva will now head the State Department for Performance and Delivery Management.

The Principal Secretaries reshuffle was part of a government shakeup that President William Ruto completed on Wednesday.  In the changes, the Head of State shuffled his Cabinet and nominated ambassadors to serve in various missions across the world.

Wednesday’s changes were the first time President Ruto was ringing significant changes in his administration after being sworn into office in 2022.

However, a year after assuming office, the Kenya Kwanza government has been on the spot over its capability to fulfill its campaign promises, especially with the high cost of living that has pushed Kenyans to the brink of poverty.

President Ruto himself has been critical over the performance of CSs and PSs in his government and accused them of being clueless in their dockets.

During a performance signing contracts event on August 1, 2023, President Ruto told off CSs, PSs and parastatal chiefs over their poor understanding of government operations and overall performance.

“People here do not want to read. If I know more than you about what is in your Ministry, then you should not be part of this government,” Ruto said.
