Ruto’s Secret Plan to Tame Raila Odinga

President William Ruto has issued a warning to Raila Odinga, stating his lack of interest in engaging in a handshake with him. Unlike past leaders such as Moi, Kibaki, and Uhuru who granted Raila certain powers, Ruto asserted his refusal to do the same.

Ruto’s declaration came earlier today when he expressed his sole objective of sending Raila back to Bondo. He also noted that Raila’s journey to Bondo would be inconspicuous, emphasizing his determination to prevent any protests in Kenya.

This statement follows a recent announcement by Raila, the leader of the Azimio la Umoja party, during a funeral where he warned that the bipartisan talks must conclude by October 30, 2023, or the opposition would take actions to disrupt the government’s operations.

During President Ruto’s five-day tour of the Mount Kenya region, discussions revolved around sentiments against the handshake, political dynamics, and developmental initiatives.

Ruto conveyed a clear message to opposition leaders, indicating that they would not share in his Kenya Kwanza government, as he remains committed to fulfilling his promises to the Kenyan people.

Unlike his predecessors Moi, Kibaki, and Uhuru, who yielded to Raila’s demands and vested him with certain authorities, Ruto firmly declared his departure from that precedent.
