Mount Kenya is on Fire

Kirinyaga County Governor, Anne Waiguru, has spoken out about the dialogue between President William Ruto and veteran opposition leader, Raila Odinga. Following their meeting in Mombasa a week ago, where they agreed to form a five-member committee for engagement to end the political stalemate in the country, Governor Waiguru expressed her support for the dialogue.

However, she suggested that the two teams should meet at a public place like Uhuru Park, allowing all Kenyans to participate in the discussions. This proposal aims to make the dialogue more inclusive and transparent, involving a wider representation of the country’s citizens.

“We want the dialogue between the government and the opposition to be open to the public.

“It should be held at Uhuru Park where there will be microphones and speakers for every other citizen to witness the talks,” Waiguru wrote on her official Facebook page.
