AZIMIO MPs DEFECTS TO RUTO’S CAMP.

Three Members of Parliament allied to the Azimio La Umoja coalition have declared that they will work with the Kenya Kwanza government going forward.

The three are Kajiado Central MP Elijah Kanchory Memusi, Kakuta Maimai (Kajiado East) and Kajiado South MP Parashina Samuel Sakimba, all elected through the opposition coalition’s ticket.

But on Sunday, they announced their decision to team up with the Kenya Kwanza admiration, saying that they have nothing against President William Ruto.

But they clarified that this does not in any way mean they have abandoned Azimio, as they join the list of Azimio MPs opting to work with the ruling side.

Like my brother Memusi has said that we are on the other side at Azimio but we do not have any hatred for you. We respect you as our President,” Maimai said on Sunday as is quoted by The Star.

He made the remarks when the three of them accompanied Ruto to an interdenominational service on Sunday at Ildamat Stadium in Kajiado County.

“As leaders we have said that we have unity of purpose. today all of Kajiado is here. We have three Azimio MPs in the county and all of us all here,” Memusi had said earlier.

Their acknowledgement of Ruto as President contradicts the Azimio leadership’s stand that Ruto is an illegitimate office holder rigged into State House.

The leaders asked Ruto to consider the region for relief food, regretting that their people are struggling because of drought and food shortage.

“In that regard, President I am going to urge you sincerely, our people need food. There is hunger in this landscape,” Maimai added.

Azimio leader Raila Odinga has remained adamant that he should be the President, alleging that Ruto rigged him out in last year’s presidential poll.
