RAILA CALLS OFF BIPARTISAN TALKS ANNOUNCES PROTESTS

A week after resuming bipartisan talks, the committee has allegedly suspended the talks as per the latest reports from Nairobi senator Edwin Sifuna.

Speaking via his official twitter handle, Sifuna accused Kenya Kwanza’s negotiation committee of failing to agree on some issues raised by Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Coalition’s camp.

According to his statement, the committee failed to agree on four main issues that includes lowering the cost of living, retaliate from interfering with Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Coalition’s affiliated parties and suspension of IEBC reconstitution.

Besides the three, the group as well failed to agree preservation of electoral servers.

” We have had to suspend the Bipartisan dialogue after we could not persuade our friends from KK to concede to some common sense interim measures namely;1. Lowering of the cost of Unga. 2. Preservation of the Election Servers. 3. Suspension of IEBC reconstitution. 4. For them to leave Jubilee alone”, he wrote.

” These are necessary in our view in order to safeguard the outcome of the talks. We hope sense shall prevail”, he added.

His statement comes off days after former vice-president Kalonzo Musyoka hinted at calling off bipartisan talks should EALA member of parliament Hon Kanini Kega’s faction hold their NDC meeting.
