Former President Ruto Ally and Kisii County Senator Richard Onyonka has this morning expressed his sentiments concerning the New Finance Bill tabled before the National Assembly for passing and the current state of the economy.

Speaking in an interview with Citizen TV, the vocal Azimio Senator has admitted that President William Ruto is being faced with myriads of challenges that require strategic solutions.

Senator Onyonka even told Kenyans that it’s very tough for the President at this time and that he is even sure he doesn’t sleep very well with the current state of the economy.

 “I believe President Ruto is between a rock and a hard place, because he found a country that basically at a debt ceiling of Kes 11 Trillion.” Alleged the Azimio Senator.

In the interview, the Senator who is also an economist spilled the beans when he revealed the reason why President William Ruto has to me make foreign trips and why it is important for the economy at this time. According to Senator Onyonka, the President is out there to seek good will with international Financial institutions like the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank and the International Community in order to borrow money.

“I believe the President is going out trying to seek out for funding from multilateral donors from the international community an from the international Financial Organization.” Stated the Kisii County Senator Richard Onyonka.

Despite the fact that the Kenya Kwanza Administration seeks to minimize on borrowing, it’s very essential that the country borrows at this time to and the President has to be out there with the international community to seek good will with them and even Financials institutions.
