Public Service Commission (PSC) released names of 585 candidates who had been shortlisted for the PS jobs.

President William Ruto has nominated 51 people set to fill the positions of Principal Secretaries in various ministries.

The appointees, who now awaiting vetting by Parliament will head State departments within 21 ministries.

Some of the notable names on the list are former Lang’ata MP Nixon Korir, former Regional Development as the PS in charge of Regional and Northern Corridor Development Belio Kipsang and former Nairobi County Deputy Governor Jonathan Mueke.

On October 8, the Public Service Commission (PSC) released the names of 585 candidates who had been shortlisted for the PS jobs featuring a number of President Ruto’s loyalists, as well as some officials who served under former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s administration.

Some of the prominent names missing from the list of 51 include; former Nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura, former Acting Health Director Patrick Amoth and IEBC Commissioner Boya Molu.

Others include politicians who lost in the August 2022 General Elections and state officers.

However, some big names who had been shortlisted by PSC are now missing from President Ruto’s list of appointments.

  3. David Ole Sankok – Former Nominated MP 

4.     Patrick Amoth – Acting Health Director

  1. Susan Mochache – Incumbent Health PS 
  2. Mary Chebukati – IEBC Chaiperson Wafula Chebukati’s wife 
  3. Chris Wamalwa – Former MP and Governor contestant Trans Nzoia County 
  4. Tabitha Mutemi – IEBC corporate communication manager 
  5. Esther Koimett – Incumbent PS Broadcasting and Telecommunications 
  6. Mercy Mwangangi – Incumbent Health Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS)
  7. Moses Lenolkulal – Former Samburu Governor
