Nandi Hills constituency MP aspirant Wesley Kibet Kogos and his Chaania Ward counterpart Nancy Wanjala Mwashuma died in Nairobi and Mombasa road accidents respectively last month.

Kogos was the first to lose his life in a Thursday morning accident in Kangemi, Nairobi, while on his way to Kass FM studios for an interview.
Police said he was travelling in a matatu headed for Nairobi when it rammed onto a bus.

The accident happened at about 5.30 am.
At the time, Nairobi police traffic boss Joshua Omukata said they are investigating the incident.

“He is the only one who died then. We didn’t know he was the aspirant,” said Omukata.
Mwashuma on the other hand died while on her way to her brother’s burial which was slated for Saturday, April 9.
