SAFARICOM SHUTS DOWN MPESA: HERE IS WHY.

Biggest telecommunication company, Safaricom have announced that mpesa services will be shut down for some period of time.

In accordance to the report, all mpesa services will be disrupted on Tuesday night. This is because of the scheduled maintenance of the company’s systems.

In a notice issued on Monday, Safaricom said the disruption will affect all transactions offered by the mobile banking platform.

The telecommunication company stated that the maintenance of the system will take place on Tuesday October 19th from 11:59pm till Wednesday 20th at 4:00a.m

The purchase of airtime from a customer’s M-PESA account will also be unavailable during the maintenance period, the telecommunications giant further noted.

“The timing of this maintenance activity has been planned to result in the least of inconvenience to our customers. We apologise for any inconvenience that may be caused…,” said Safaricom.
