LOVE GONE SOUR? TECRA MUIGAI’S BOYFRIEND QUESTIONED OVER THE DEATH OF TECRA MUIGA – KEROCHE PRINCESS.

Omar Lali, boyfriend to Tecra Muigai was reported to have given contradicting information according to the source in the investigation department who spoke exclusively to the Nation.

“He first told us that Tecra fell from the stairs and then the next day he tells us that she fell in the bathroom inside the house.” said the source.

This was after the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) took over the case concerning  the mysterious death of Keroche chairman’s daughter Tecra Muigai, which was previously reported as an ‘accident’.

Daily Nation newspaper has disclosed  that Tecra who was living in a private residence in Shella on Lamu Island with her boyfriend suffered a fatal fall. And  was later airlifted to Nairobi for three days where she stayed in a coma for three days until she was pronounced dead.Through various sources the Nation established that Tecra fell from the stairs when she was with her boyfriend Omar Lali on Lamu island.

According to the publication  Tecra’s family had already requested investigations into her fall even before her death.  DCI’s Head of Serious Crimes Joseph Kariuki stated that they  handed over the case to the Homicide unit after Tecra’s death.

“It is after her death that we are handing the matter to the Homicide Unit and we have asked them to move to the house,” stated Kariuki.

Contradicting reports from the boyfriend.

Lamu County Police Commander Moses Muriithi told the Nation that Muigai’s  boyfriend had been summoned by detectives over the accident and he is assisting  in providing crucial information on Tecra’s death.

According to sources at the DCI office, Lali Omar was arrested after he kept giving contradicting reports  leading to the fall and  death of Tecra Muigai. He first said she fell from the stairs and then the next day he changed his version saying she fell in bathroom inside the house.

Rough relationship with the Omar

Tecra Muigai was  reported to have met Lali Omar who is in his fifties at Peponi Hotel  after she failed to raise enough money to pay hotel bill  at the hotel. Lali, who is known to be an old beach boy and gold miner of desperate women, took advantage of this and assisted her in paying the bills.

Tecra thereafter, developed feelings for him and was flying to Lamu every now and then to spend time with him in different hotels. The two love birds lastly booked Manda-Diamond Hotel in Lamu where they spent days before switching to the private residence in Shella.

Tecra’s close friends disclosed that she lived a lavish lifestyle in Lamu with her boyfriend which included daily drinking and chewing of Miraa.

The friends revealed that their  relationship  was rough. One of her friends told the Nation that their relationship took a different turn last year and they were always differing in public.
