ANOTHER SENATOR FROM RIFT VALLEY DUMPS DP RUTO

On Thursday, President Uhuru Kenyatta convened a lunch meeting with a number of MPs allied to the Azimio La Umoja movement.

It is a meeting that brought together MPs from ODM, Jubilee, Wiper and a section of ANC together, with Deputy President William Ruto and his brigade missing in action.

The head of state who was also joined by Raila Odinga, took the opportunity to commend the MPs for passing the recent Political Parties, Amendment Bill, in parliament.

Uhuru also took time to criticize his deputy and UDA brigade, saying they had embarked on sabotaging the bill, just the same way they did with the Building Bridges Initiative bill in 2021.

Among those who present during Uhuru’s meeting includes DP William Ruto’s home county senator Margaret Kamar.

The Uasin Gishu Senator, who has kept a low profile when it comes to joining DP Ruto’s UDA Party has remained in Jubilee, a party that has been largely deserted by most of Rift Valley politicians

She was even given a chance to address the meeting at State house and she is expected to face a major obstacle in defending her seat in 2022.

Already, Uasin Gishu County Senatorial race has attracted a number of aspirants including the incumbent Givernor Jackson Mandago, who will be facing off with renown lawyer Kipchumba Karori and popular Kass FM radio presenter Arap Kemei, who are all competing for a UDA party ticket.
