KUCCPS Announces Courses for Students Who Scored KCSE E

Students who achieved Grade E in the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) now have an opportunity to pursue their desired careers by enrolling in artisan/level 4 programs before advancing to certificate courses.

Facilitated by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) portal, these courses offer government sponsorship to qualifying students.

Furthermore, individuals who took the KCSE exams from 2000 to 2022 and attained mean grades of D- and E are eligible for artisan courses.

These courses span across 14 programs encompassing various fields such as Business, Building and Construction, Engineering and Technology, Food Science, Social Sciences, Information Technology, Hospitality, Hotel and Tourism, Clothing, Fashion, and Textile, among others.

In the realm of Business, candidates can opt for positions in Storekeeping, Accounting Technician, Secretarial roles, Office Administration, and Human Resource Management.

The Building and Construction program caters to those with a penchant for masonry and construction, offering courses in Building Technology, Construction Technology, Masonry, Building Artisan Level 4, and General Fitting.

For aspiring professionals in the hospitality industry, the Food Science program presents opportunities in Food Beverage Production and Services, Artisan Craft in Food and Beverage, Culinary Arts, and Food Processing Technology. Social Sciences offer courses in Artisan Social Work and Artisan Social Work – Level 4.

In the Information Technology domain, students can delve into ICT, Artisan Level 4, NVCET in IT, and ICT Technician Level 4. The Hospitality and Tourism sector provides avenues for tour Guiding and Operations (Level 4) and Artisan in Catering and Accommodation.
