Not Ruto, Person Who Invited Raila to the State House

Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga on Wednesday toured Lang’ata Constituency where he launched the Mau Mau Freedom Fighters Foundations.

The vocal leader of the opposition was accompanied by several Mau Mau Freedom Fighters veterans, lawyer Paul Mwite, and other officials from KNHRC.

While speaking at the event, the Azimio la Umoja leader Raila disclosed that he was invited to the dinner at State House Nairobi by His Majesty King Charles III weeks ago when he made a surprise appearance in State House.

The former Prime Minister stated that he went to State House because His Majesty King Charles III is his personal friend and they worked together in his foundation to rehabilitate Lake Naivasha which was polluted and Marine life was dying.

Raila Odinga’s presence in the State House elicited mixed reactions from the political class. It was his first time in State House since President William Samoei Ruto and his deputy Hon Rigathi Gachagua came into office after last year’s hotly contested general elections.

Deputy President Hon Rigathi Gachagua is on record on numerous occasions saying that he has placed spies in State House to ensure that Raila Odinga is not spotted near State House.

However, during His Majesty King Charles III’s visit, the vocal DP Gachagua was not present in the country when Raila toured the State House during King Charles III’s dinner.
