Omanga Tells Murkomen to Do Better After This Happened

Kelvin Kiptum’s recent achievement has sent ripples of excitement throughout the running world.

The Kenyan athlete made history in Chicago by shattering the marathon world record, eclipsing Eliud Kipchoge’s previous mark by a remarkable 34 seconds.

Kiptum crossed the finish line in an astonishing time of 2 hours, 35 seconds, thus etching his name in the annals of athletic greatness.

However, despite this phenomenal accomplishment, there was a discordant note in the celebrations.

Many questioned why Eliud Kipchoge, the revered marathon maestro, seemingly failed to acknowledge or celebrate Kiptum’s remarkable feat. The athletics community was abuzz with speculation and expectation.

Taking to her Facebook page, Millicent Omanga, the Cabinet Secretary, extended a warm and well-deserved welcome to Kelvin Kiptum.

She lamented that Kiptum’s arrival in his homeland was not met with the hero’s welcome that he rightfully deserved as the new world champion.

Omanga made a point of thanking Purity Koima, the CECM for Sports in Elgeyo Marakwet, for her role in welcoming the record-breaking athlete back to Kenya.

In a gesture of unity and encouragement, Omanga tagged Onesimus Kipchumba Murkomen, the Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, emphasizing the need for improved recognition and celebration of Kiptum’s extraordinary accomplishment.

The sentiment was clear; the world should not only marvel at Kiptum’s athletic prowess but should also unite in honoring and cherishing the incredible feat that he has achieved.

The call was for a more substantial and fitting celebration of Kelvin Kiptum, the new world record holder, whose remarkable performance has left an indelible mark in the realm of marathon running.
