Pastor Ng’ang’a Attacks Ruto, Dares Him to Close His Church

Popular Kenyan pastor Nganga Njuguna has blasted Deputy President William Ruto over the high cost of living in the country.

In a fiery sermon on Sunday, Nganga accused Ruto of being responsible for the rising prices of food, fuel, and other essential goods.

“Kuja ufunge kanisa yangu mjinga wewe,” Nganga said. “Huyu Mungu unacheza na yeye atakutoa kwa jiko! Sisi mnatupandishia vitu nyinyi mkiongeza huko.”

Translation: “Come and close my church, you fool. This God you are playing with will take you out of the kitchen! We are the ones you are raising prices on, while you are increasing yours there.”

Nganga, who is a vocal supporter of President Uhuru Kenyatta, said that Ruto is to blame for the high cost of living because he is the one who controls the government’s economic policies.

“Ruto ni mzigo kwa nchi hii,” Nganga said. “Anapaswa kuondoka mara moja.”

Translation: “Ruto is a burden to this country. He should leave immediately.”

Ruto’s office has not responded to Nganga’s remarks.

The high cost of living is a major issue in Kenya, and it has been a major source of discontent among the public. In recent months, there have been a number of protests against the rising prices.

Nganga’s sermon is likely to further fuel the anger against Ruto and his allies.
