Pastor Ng’ang’a Sells His Ksh 800M Luxury Hotel

Televangelist pastor James Ng’ang’a has recently revealed his decision to sell the Newstead Hotel, a lavish establishment situated along the Nakuru-Nairobi road, with an estimated value of Ksh800 million.

In a conversation with Nation, the prominent pastor elaborated on his rationale for this sale, explaining that the funds generated would be channeled towards the construction of a church in the United States.

Ng’ang’a highlighted the Newstead Hotel’s exceptional amenities, making it an ideal destination for various occasions such as family gatherings, corporate conferences, and leisure outings. These amenities include a spacious open-air playground, a top-notch swimming pool, and ample parking facilities.

He noted that the quotation was however open for negotiations as he sought Ksh600 million to purchase a piece of land in the US.

The hotel which opened its doors in 2016 has a variety of amenities including a gym, spa, and swimming area among others. It has over 40 spacious rooms and 3 conference halls that can accommodate up to 300 people at a time.

Meanwhile, each room features an en-suite bathroom, comfortable beds, a work desk, a flat-screen TV, and complimentary Wi-Fi access.

The hotel located about 10 kilometres from Naivasha Town offers executive, deluxe single, basic double, and basic single rooms.

The reception area is decorated with antique African artifacts including elephant paintings and cheetah print seats.

Some of the activities around Naivasha for guests at the hotel include visiting Hell’s Gate, Lake Nakuru, Crescent Island, Malewa Wildlife Lodge, Mt Longonot, etc.

In January 2023, the pastor unveiled a state-of-the-art church bus amenities such as a washroom and television set.

While presenting it to his congregation, the televangelist noted that it would replace the outdated vehicle bought in 2001.

“This bus bought by your contribution will carry you to and from crusades among other church activities,” he stated.
