Raila Makes Major Announcement on His Next Move

In a packed and jubilant gathering in Bondo, One Kenya Alliance leader Raila Odinga has finally broken his silence on the ongoing bipartisan talks.

He urged Kenyans to give the team enough time to discuss the issues tabled before he can make any statements.

Raila spoke passionately about the need to root out corruption from Kenyan society, and called out President William Ruto’s administration for their failure to take meaningful action against it.

“The people have been asking why I have been silent, but my hands are tied. I want to give the team ample time to address the issues tabled,” he explained.

Raila also commented on the debate on constitutional reforms, claiming that President Ruto opposed the new constitution, especially the devolution part of it.

“We are all aware that the head of this government opposed the constitution because of devolution. They have denied county governments funds to deliver services to the people. As Azimio, we will continue with the fight to ensure that the people of Kenya realize the benefits of devolution,” he vowed.

The gathering was attended by a veritable who’s who of Kenyan politics, including Governors James Orengo and Ochilo Ayacko, Senators Oburu Oginga and Eddie Oketch, and MPs Samuel Atandi, Babu Owino, Peter Orero, Aduma Owuor, Peter Masara, and Opiyo Wandayi.

Raila thanked them all for their support and pledged to continue the fight for a better Kenya.

The Azimio la Umoja leader reiterated his commitment to the cause, despite the hurdles.

As he wrapped up his speech, Raila expressed optimism about the future of Kenya and urged Kenyans to be patient and resilient.

His audience, made up of supporters and critics alike, listened attentively to his every word.
