Duale Snatches Microphone From UDA Leader in an Event

In a function held in Elgeyo Marakwet, the Cabinet Secretary for Defence clashed with the Woman Representative of the county for what he termed as advocating for tribalism in the military.

The Woman Representative – Hon. Jeptoo – had urged Hon. Aden Duale not to deploy Kenya Defence Forces soldiers who come from Marakwet and Pokot communities.

The former National Assembly Majority Leader, on snatching the microphone from the Woman Representative, condemned her cautioning her against bringing tribalism in the function.

Duale insisted that the event was about the agenda of the military and tribalism should not have been the topic of the day. It is however not known how MP Jeptoo reacted to Aden Duale’s action.

Duale commended the KDF who, in cooperation with the Kenya Police Service, had cleared the banditry problem in the Northern part of Kenya. He said that just like they had successfully ended the menace in the north, they would equally deal with it squally in the Kerio Valley.
