President Hon William Samoei Ruto, along with a delegation from the Kenya Kwanza coalition, visited Nyeri County for a Thanksgiving event hosted by Ps Alex Wachira.

This event took place just a day after his return to the country from attending a food summit in Tanzania.

During his speech, President William Ruto received an enthusiastic response from the crowd when he extended an invitation to former Prime Minister Hon Raila Odinga to have tea at Statehouse.

He emphasized that penalizing lawmakers for visiting Statehouse was not a productive approach and appealed to Raila to forgive them, encouraging collaboration with the government for the benefit of the people.

President Ruto mentioned that they had also extended an invitation for a VIP dinner at Statehouse to Raila, but he couldn’t attend due to his busy schedule.

He urged all leaders to come together and prioritize peace, emphasizing the need to set aside their differences and focus on positive change while seeking guidance from the Lord. He underlined the clergy’s commitment to advocating for peace.
