WHY RUTO’S PICTURE WAS ERASED FROM STATE HOUSE: A story of a bitter divorce.

At the peak of last general elections President Uhuru Kenyatta stood on the podium and said, ‘Yangu kumi na ya Ruto kumi’. The crowd went wild and the deputy president gushed with emotions. This was the perfect endorsement, the President had his back and on the pockets of the president there was approximately four million votes.

How could such a perfect relationship head to such a bitter divorce? The extent of how bad things have gone South was evident when pictures showing Ruto’s picture being erased from State House surfaced online. Challyh News has not been able to verify independently the authenticity of the news but the lack of a statement from any side shows the extent of this ruined relationship.

It seems the President has made a decision not to endorse his deputy for the top seat. Before the erasure of the DP’s image, The President had thrown subtle hints that it will not be business as usual and that he had no debt to pay.

He once said, ‘My choice will shock many’ in reference to his successor. This would mean he would not be endorsing the obvious candidate; the deputy president. President Uhuru Kenyatta also made Dr Fred Matiang’i a super cabinet secretary in which analysts said the new roles collided with the duties of the deputy president.

It is yet to be seen if the President will endorse the Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga or another candidate but what’s crystal clear is that if the Deputy President wants to win the presidency he will have to do without the support of his boss.
