Judges Ruto is Set to Fire as He Sends a Tough Message

President William Ruto has set his sights on the judiciary, escalating his anti-corruption campaign by calling out certain judicial officers who he said to have allegedly involved in corrupt practices.

While not naming anyone directly, Ruto criticized these judges for turning the courts into safe havens for corruption. He pointed out that specific judges have been dealing with corruption cases, implying their complicity.

The President expressed frustration with the anti-corruption court, deeming it the weakest link in the fight against graft. Ruto accused judges of colluding with economic criminals, issuing stay orders and prolonging hearings for those accused of embezzling public funds.

He vowed to dismantle the corruption network that spans various sectors, including private enterprises, government parastatals, and county administrations. This move comes amid high-profile corruption cases being withdrawn due to a lack of evidence. As Ruto intensifies his campaign, the judiciary finds itself under scrutiny for its alleged involvement in perpetuating corruption.
