Raila Odinga has been one of the most prolific politicians in the country, and has been in politics for a very long time.

He has held so many big Government positions and has participated in a lot of political Kenyan events. He has remained a very popular politician in Nyanza but also in the whole nation.

Ogeta, a tall and physically strong assistant to the leader of the nation’s opposition, has been working with him for the longest. The no-nonsense bodyguard was already at the center of Raila’s security when he launched his second bid for the president in 2007.

In most of Raila’s functions, the ever alert Ogeta is always seen walking behind the ODM leader. Sometimes, he opens the car door for the former Prime Minister.

Always with a serious look and sometimes in dark glasses, Ogeta can give you an impression of a man who is seriously protecting a man of Raila’s caliber.

And from the look of things, it appears the former Premier trusts this man that much.

Although there are little concrete data about his security and training history, it is clear that a person who is entrusted with Raila’s safety and security must be quite skilled and experienced.

Could he be an Ex- Kenya Defence Forces soldier? Or possibly a former member of the respected Recce Squad of the GSU? Certainly, an ordinary man with limited security experience cannot be entrusted with the security of a man who could become Kenya’s fifth President in the next few months.
