Why People are Running Away From Kisumu City

Kisumu county governor and Azimio la umoja one Kenya coalition party member Mr Anyang Nyong’o has gone viral on social media platforms after what he said today.

Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o has said that hundreds of people have been forced to flee their homes in Kisumu county due to attack along the border with Kericho county.

Governor Nyong’o has said that the constant fights in the borders with Kericho county has forced many people to run away from their homes to other parts of th country because they are losing their lives in the attacks.

He has said that most of the the people losing their lives were being falsely accused of stealing livestock despite it not being true and the attackers do not have facts to substantiate their claims.

He said that at the moment two people have already lost their lives and the remaining people are now fearing for their lives saying that the rift between Kericho and Kisumu was getting out of hand and if they do not move out then they may be the next victims.

He has called on leaders to motivate peace between the two communities and put aside the ongoing rift and give dialogue a chance to address the ongoing rift between the two counties and end the ongoing menace.
