Senior Govt Official Resigns Causing Panic

A senior official at one of the leading government institutions is reported to have hanged his boots abruptly, sending shivers down the spines of his bosses.

Sources aware of this development have noted that the official called it quits due to the rampant malpractices at his workplace. The man who has been working at that regulatory authority for a while now could not stand the widespread illegalities.

His exit has sent the bosses back to the drawing board since he was working on a project so dear to the head of that institution. Apparently, no one else understands it better so as to step in his shoes, yet the boss was eager to launch it later in the year.

Word has it that the procurement of that project and its funding had been riddled with a lot of corruption and embezzlement of public funds; no wonder the official quit.
