Details Revealing Agreement Between Ruto and Karim Khan

Leaders allied to Azimio la Umoja One Kenya have continued to raise concerns on the decision by International Criminals Court prosecutor Karim Khan to visit Kenya.

Khan was in the country over the last weekend to receive an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from Mount Kenya University (MKU) for his contribution towards ensuring there is justice and humanity.

Former Justice Minister Martha Karua was the first leader from the opposition alliance to raise the red flag, saying the Khan’s presence in the country at the time Azimio had written to the international court to investigate the situation in the country was an alarm.

Addressing the same during a church service in Mwiki over last weekend, DAP-K party leader Eugene Wamalwa said that they were raising red flag on Khan’s presence in the country.

However, while speaking to TV47 on Friday, Khan poked holes on claims that he was present in Kenya to tamper with opposition’s efforts to have people who were engaged in criminal activities during protests prosecuted.

“I always try to act on the side of justice. The main principle is whether you a prosecutor or a judge, or defence counsel, act with integrity, courage and the realization that you are a servant of something much bigger than yourself,” the prosecutor said.

This was not enough to convince Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni who still believes that Ruto invited Khan in the country to bribe him.

Kioni who was speaking during an international mass conducted by Azimio la Umoja in Bondo on Friday alleged that Ruto signed a protocol with Khan that protects him from being taken to ICC even if he continues to kill Kenyans.

“He has now invited Khan to bribe him here. He signed a protocol that protects him from being arrested and prosecuted in ICC even if he unleash terror on Kenyans.” Kioni said.
