Major Fallout in Azimio Party

News reports that the Azimio coalition could be under serious tensions. Remember President Ruto has accepted to hold talks with the Azimio brigade.

As per some of the rules, each side has to appoint 5 people of which 3 are lawmakers and 2 outside the parliament. Azimio has settled for Wiper boss Kalonzo and former CS Eugene.

However, Karua has protested stating that Kioni must be included to represent Mt. Kenya.

It is alleged that her demands have caused sharp tensions sending the entire team into shock. Remember Karua was Raila’s running mate during the past elections in which they lost.

Since then, they have been on the streets pressuring the government to reduce the cost of living and fighting off the finance bill.

Speaking to a local media house, Kileleshwa Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) MCA Robert Alai decried a push by Martha Karua to have embattled Jubilee Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni as part of Azimio’s five-member team.

An agreement reached between the ruling Kenya Kwanza coalition and the opposition allowed each side to front a team of five including three lawmakers and two members outside Parliament.
